53 an hour 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago Our Public Works Department is currently seeking a Maintenance Worker, EO1, or EO2 to join their team! Daily work activities include, mowing, weeding, landscaping and removal of trash and debris.
Staff can expect to be exposed to inclement weather, hazardous wildlife, and difficult environmental conditions on a regular basis.
Maintenance Worker - Must possess a minimum of two (2) years responsible experience in grounds keeping and or general maintenance.
Equipment Operator 1 - Must possess (11) months experience and operates light to heavy equipment and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of 50 lbs.
Must possess a Class B CDL license.
Equipment Operator 11 - Must possess three (3) years of light and heavy equipment operating experience including but not limited to operation of backhoe, front-end loader, excavator, skid steer, gradall, etc.
Must have the ability to perform labor-intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of 50 lbs.
All positions require a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Florida Driver's license.
Prefers candidates with verifiable experience in mowing and landscaping and working with prison inmate crews.
