Regular Risk Description Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provides real-time information and investigative support to law enforcement personnel in the field; Collects and organizes information from all available resources, including daily calls for service, field interview reports, arrest reports, intelligence sources, and other agencies in order to study and analyze any emerging crime series, patterns, or trends; Identifies potential persons of interest from daily reports, FIRs, community policing, arrest records, and DOC inmate release reports; Prepares and disseminates strategic and tactical reports from analysis findings in the form of bulletins, memos, alerts, maps, etc.
; Integrates analysis information for presentation at weekly CRIMEMAPS meeting using bulletins, maps, charts and/or graphs to inform of any emerging crime series, trends, or patterns; Provides assistance to investigations, patrol, and specialized units through the use of investigative research tools; Prepares and disseminates photo lineups as needed/requested; Assists dispatch by entering BOLO's, monitoring LPR's (License Plate Readers), and entering tags into the LPR's; Assists with radio dispatch when needed; Monitors live camera feeds to assist with critical incidents and/or calls for service; Downloads/watches historical video feeds to assist with investigations and/or calls for service; Prepares and disseminates weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual statistical reports as needed/requested; Performs all other duties as assigned.
Special Selection Criteria:
Must possess a high degree of confidentiality.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
Experience using Law Enforcement CAD and or Records Management Systems is preferred.
