This position has a variety of many engaging and exciting opportunities for a Planner to experience.
The position involves professional work to assist with the update of our 2050 Comprehensive Plan, land use amendments, Master Plan Developments, housing programs, code modifications as well as current development planning work.
Other duties will include assisting with the City's coordination efforts with governmental agencies such as the School District, local agencies, and the Regional Planning Council.
This position will require flexibility to perform various tasks simultaneously, broad knowledge of various planning concepts, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an understanding of the Comprehensive Plan's role and importance in guiding the City's long-range vision.
Must possess a bachelor's degree in planning or related field; supplemented by two (2) years professional planning experience within a similar public organization; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
