DRIVERS
RESIDENTIAL TRASH COLLECTION
The primary function is to operate (drive) equipment in a safe and productive manner to service commercial and residential customers.
Specific responsibilities include:
oOperate trucks often equipped with hydraulic lifting devices to collect containers of garbage and trash and transport loads to disposal sites
oOperate and maintain the equipment (truck) in a manner to prevent equipment down time
oEnsure compliance with company policies, safety and maintenance procedures
oPerform equipment safety checks, (i.e. check oil, water, tires, lights, etc.) and pre-trip and post-trip inspections
oPerform duties to meet company expectations and customer satisfaction
oMaintain clean and tidy vehicle
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
oMust have current Class B Commercial License
oMust have a minimum of three years driving experience
oMust have current MVR and clean driving record for past three (3) years
oLanguage requirements include reading, writing, spelling and the ability to communicate clearly in English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
oBody positions: Standing, sitting, bending, climbing and stooping
oBody Movements: Carrying (up to 75 lbs.), use of hands, eyes, arms and voice
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in all types of weather, driving and road conditions, often requiring maneuvering in close spaces
50-55 work hours weekly is typical with early morning start time and may include some Saturdays.
