Registered Nurse Telephonic Triage

Triages incoming and outgoing customer service programs; assessing the caller's needs and symptoms, provides appropriate clinical and administrative advice, and follows appropriate clinical protocols to assist the caller's needs.
Responsibilities include:
o Applies professional skills and knowledge of established concepts, principles, and practice to provide telephonic nursing services including, but not limited to, health information, healtheducation, healthcare assessment and triage.
o Conducts thorough and sound nursing assessments of caller's presenting symptoms.
o Develops implements and evaluates a plan of care for each caller's presenting symptoms.
o Applies nursing process to identify and prioritize healthcare triage interventions that are appropriate and accurate, effective and reduces the risk of adverse outcomes.
o Follows policy to document call inquiries.
o Answers calls in a timely manner.
o Maintains confidentiality of all caller and personnel issues.
o Interacts with callers and other staff in a polite and courteous manner.
o Documents all call inquiries according to policy and procedure.
o Manages multiple priorities by listening, assessing, speaking and transcribing patient information in computer.
Qualifications include:
o Must have excellent written, verbal telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
o Must have excellent critical thinking skills.
o Basic computer skills.
o At least one year of Register Nurse Experience, preferred
o Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
o Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
o Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
o Successful completion of Maxim background screening and hiring process.
o Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices; with a score of 80% or greater.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
